Visitors to Canada Travel Insurance

For visitors to Canada, emergency medical expenses can be overwhelming. Sun Travel in collaboration with RBC Travel Insurance offers medical insurance for visitors to Canada.

As a visitor from another country, you're not covered by Canada's National Health Care program. Travel Insurance is a simple and affordable way of being covered for these unforeseen costs. We offer an unique plan specifically designed for those travelling only to Canada for the entire duration of their trip. On our site we make it easy to get a free quote and purchase the Visitors to Canada Insurance that can make your trip more pleasant and convenient.

Visitors to Canada Insurance may be purchased at any time for a minimum duration of 7 days and a maximum duration of 365 days. Insured must be one-month of age or older. Family rate is available.

There are 3 plans uniquely designed with varying benefits and deductibles: Deluxe Visitors Plan; Standard Visitors Plan II; and Standard Visitors Plan I.

Each plan offers protection for visitors up to 85 years of age, who are:

  • Family and friends coming to visit.
  • Canadians who are not eligible for benefits under a Government Health Plan.
  • Persons who are in Canada on a valid work or student visa.
  • New immigrants who are awaiting Government Health Insurance
